Materials:

• Yarn: Alize Cotton Gold (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 100 g/330 m) or YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m)
• Hook size: 1.5 mm
• 5-6 mm safety eyes
• Black and pink embroidery thread
• Tapestry needle and scissors
• Pink pastel crayon for ears (optional)
• Sewing pins
• Stitch marker
• Fiberfill

Abbreviations:

R = row
mc = magic circle (magic ring)
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch

inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
BLO = back loop only
F.o. = finish off
(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
( ) * 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

Legs and body (one piece)
Stuff as you go.

Legs (make 2)

With pink yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
R 2: (1 sc, inc) * 3 (9)
R 3: 9 sc
Change to white yarn (for the cat) or to pants color (for the bunny):
R 4-5: 9 sc
F.o.

Don’t cut the yarn when you’ll finish the second leg!

From the second leg: 3 ch, join with the first leg.
Continue crocheting the body in the round:
R 6: 9 sc, 3 inc, 9 sc, 3 inc (30)
R 7-8: 30 sc (2 rows)

Change to red yarn (for the cat) or to white one (for the bunny):
R 9: 30 sc
R 10: BLO: 30 sc

Skirt for the cat

Attach the red yarn to the front loop of the R 10 and crochet 3 rows with 30 sc in a spiral.

Straps for the pants (make 2)

With pants color yarn:
Leave a yarn tail in the beginning to sew the strap in place.
Make 19-22 ch.

Fold the top opening flat and sc through both sides across.

Cuff for the cat’s dress

Attach the red yarn to a front loop of R 4 and crochet one row with 6 sc.

Bow for the bunny

With pants color:
In magic circle: 2 ch, 2 hdc, 2 ch, sl st, 2 ch, 2 hdc, 2 ch, sl st
Pull the magic circle.
Wrap the middle of the bow a few times with yarn.
F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly (cat)

Using a pink thread embroider a nose in the center of the face between R 9 and R 10. Embroider a line to the mouth in 2 stitches down with a black thread. Then embroider a smile, whiskers and eyebrows.

Sew the tail to the back of the body between R 8 and R 9.
Next, sew the head to the body, the ears to the head, from R 2 to R 8. Finally, sew the arms to the body between R 17 and R 18.

Assembly (bunny)

Embroider a nose between R 9 and R 10 of the head with pink thread.
Using a black thread embroider a line from the nose in 3 stitches. Then embroider eyebrows.
Sew the head to the body, the ears on the head between R 3 and R 4. Next, sew the arms to the body between R 17 and R 18, the bow to the neck.
