Materials:

• 3.5 mm hook
• Worsted weight yarn in Tan
• Fluffy yarn (I used Premier Yarns “baby bunny”)
• 9 mm oval kawaii safety eyes
• Black embroidery thread
• White yarn (for embroidering the teeth)

Head

Starting in tan yarn
Rnd 1. ch5
Rnd 2. Starting in the second ch from the hook, sc 3, sc 3 in the last ch, now working on the other side of the ch, sc 2, inc [10]
Rnd 3. Inc, sc 2, inc x 3, sc 2, inc x 2 [16]
Rnd 4. Sc, inc, sc 2, (sc, inc) x 3, sc 2, (sc, inc) x 2 [22]
Change to fluffy yarn

Rnd 5. FLO: sc around [22]
Rnd 6-8. Sc around [22] (3 rounds)
Add the eyes between rnd 1-2, 3 stitches apart
Rnd 9. Sc, dec, sc 2, (sc, dec) x 3, sc 2, (sc, dec) x 2 [16]
Rnd 10. Dec x 8 [8]
Fasten off

Note: If you’re using fluffy yarn and find it difficult to find the back loops in rnd 2, you can just sc around.

Legs and body:

Starting with the 2 in fluffy yarn
Rnd 1. Sc 8 in a mr [8]
Rnd 2. BLO: sc around [8]
Rnd 3. Sc around [8]
Fasten off the first leg, but do NOT fasten off the second leg.
Continuing with the yarn still attached to the second leg.

Rnd 4. Insert the hook in the first st of rnd 3 of the first leg sc 8, now working in the second leg, sc 8 [16]
Rnd 5. Sc 7, inc x 3, sc 6 [19]
Rnd 6-7. Sc around [19] (2 rounds)
Rnd 8. Sc 7, dec x 3, sc 6 [16]
Rnd 9. (Sc 2, dec) x 4 [12]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Arms:

Make 2 in fluffy yarn
Rnd 1. Sc 7 in a mr [7]
Rnd 2-3. Sc 7 [7] (2 rounds)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Ears:

Make 2, starting in tan yarn
Rnd 1. ch5
Rnd 2. Starting in the second ch from the hook, sc 3, sc 3 in the last ch, now working on the other side of the ch, sc 3, ch 1, turn [9]
Change to fluffy yarn
Rnd 3. Sc around, ch 1, turn [9]

Hands:

Feet:

Assembly:

1. Head and body: sew the opening of the body over rnd 6-8 of the bottom of the head.
2. Arms: sew the arms on either side of the body between rnds 8-9.
3. Ears: sew the backs of the ears closed, then sew them to the top of the head over rnds 7.
4. Hands: sew the hands over rnd 1 of the arms.
5. Feet: sew the feet over rnd 1 of the legs.
6. Smile: using black embroidery thread, add a smile between rnd 3-4 of the head.
7. Teeth: using white yarn, embroider a zigzag all along the outer edge of the smile, over rnd 4 of the head.

8. Nose: embroider a nose over 1 stitch between the eyes.
