• Super bulky yarn (6) (I used bernat baby blanket yarn) in;
– Yellow for the body,
– Orange for the beak and legs,
– Pink (or any color that you like) for the scarf.
• Size 5 mm crochet hook.
• Black safety eyes (12 mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Fiberfill
• Stitch markers
• Scissors
• Cosmetic blush (optional)

Make it in orange yarn.
Rnd 1. 4 sc in a magic ring (4)
Rnd 2. inc in all 4 (8)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Fold it in half and sew the hole with the yarn tail.

Sew the beak to the round 8 between the cheeks.
Insert safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8, about 2 visible stitches away from the beak.
Stuff the head with fiberfill. Start stuffing the body as you go.

Add more stuffing to the body if needed. Do not overstuff the bottom, it should be flat.
Fasten off, leaving a tail. Using a needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull tight to close.
Weave in the yarn end.

Legs

Embroider the legs with orange yarn at the bottom front of the body (see pictures for reference).

Hair

Cut 2 small pieces of yarn. Pull them through the stitches on the top of the head to create 4 strands of hair (see pictures for reference). Trim them to your desired length.

Make 2 wings in yellow color yarn.
Rnd 1. 4 sc in a magic ring (4)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Flippers do not need stuffing. Fold the wing in half and sew the hole closed.
Sew wings to both sides of the body on rounds 13-14, slightly diagonally (see pictures for reference).

Scarf

Chain 50 in pink yarn. Turn the chain and sl st in the second chain from the end.
This will be your first stitch of the round.

Weave in the yarn ends.

If you don’t want to crochet a scarf, you can simply cut a piece of pink yarn and tie a little bow around the neck.
