Difficulty Level: Intermediate

A tiny fantasy-inspired amigurumi project to add a playful handmade touch to your crochet time.

This free amigurumi baby dragon pattern, Kroshka Drakosha, is designed by Alexandra Umnikova (@a_igruami) and features a sweet, palm-sized dragon with charming details. With its compact shape and expressive look, this baby dragon makes a lovely choice for handmade gifts, desk decor, or small collectible toys. The design fits naturally into Fantasy Amigurumi Projects, and we sincerely thank Alexandra Umnikova (VK) for sharing this adorable dragon pattern with the crochet community.

This amigurumi dragon crochet pattern is suitable for confident beginners who are comfortable with basic shaping and simple assembly. The head and body are crocheted as one piece, while the legs, arms, horns, and tail are sewn on separately, making this a low sew amigurumi rather than no sew. Difficulty Level: Beginner-Friendly, and it also works well as a Quick to Make Amigurumi thanks to its small size.

The pattern is designed using semi-cotton YarnArt Jeans yarn and a 2–2.25 mm crochet hook for clean stitch definition. You will also need 6 mm safety eyes, toy stuffing, stitch markers, pins, a yarn needle, and scissors. Using thicker yarn will create a larger dragon. At the end of the pattern, you will also find related amigurumi ideas shared for extra inspiration. If you enjoy small fantasy designs, you may also like the mini bear amigurumi, another charming project shared on our blog.
