Materials:

• YarnArt Jeans yarn (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m)
• 2.0 mm Clover crochet hook
• 6 mm safety eyes
• Large eye stitching needle
• Scissors
• Holofiber for stuffing

Abbreviations:

R – row
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (2 single crochet in 1 stitch)
dec – decrease
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

AMIGURUMI MINI PENGUIN FREE PATTERN

Head and body (one piece)

R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
R 5: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
R 6: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
R 7: (5 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [42]

We switch the yarn to the other color yarn in advance in such a way as to get smooth transitions. The pictures below show options for changing yarn during decreases and after regular single crochets.

Place the eyes between R 11 and R 12 symmetrically on the white part.

Change to light gray:
If you want to make a one-colored penguin, then do not change the yarn, continue crocheting with a main color yarn.

Stuff the head firmly and continue crocheting the body:

Stuff the body.

Fasten off and weave in the ends inside.

Beak

Stuff gently with fiberfill.

Do not stuff.
Fold the top opening flat and 5 sc through both sides.

Feet (make 2)

Make 6 ch.
Make an oval, starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: from the 2nd ch from the hook: inc, 3 sc, 3 sc in last st, along the other side: 4 sc [12]
R 2-3: 12 sc (2 rows)
R 4: (4 sc, dec) repeat 2 times [10]
R 5: (3 sc, dec) repeat 2 times [8]
R 6: 8 sc
R 7: (2 sc, dec) repeat 2 times [6]
Do not stuff.
Use the front loops of the last row to pull the opening closed.
Fasten off and and leave a tail for sewing.

Chest

Work in turning rows.
Make 7 ch.
R 1: From the 4th ch from the hook: 4 dc along the chain, turn
R 2: 3 ch, 4 dc
Fasten off and and leave a tail for sewing.

Assembly

1. Sew the beak to the place where the black stripe on the head ends, in the middle.
2. Sew the wings to the body between R 19 and R 20.
3. Sew the legs to the bottom of the body symmetrically.
4. Sew the chest between the wings in the middle.
