Important information
The total number of stitches in a round/row is given in parentheses at the end. Sc and chains are not counted
Rounds are not joined but worked in a spiral
Rows are crocheted from side to side Always make 1 chain after each row and turn your work Skip the chain when starting the next row
Remember to fill with stuffing as you go
Front side = the side that is up when the legs are down and your starting yarn on the left side (back = the other side)
The crocodile is crocheted from head to tail.
Picture Explanation
When crocheting around the figure/belly, continue from where you stopped on the last row. Sc the number of stitches indicated in the pictures in the same color as the figure.
Change color if necessary. (Some figures have a white border, but that’s only because it’s easier to slow down the stitches then)

Mounting
Place the body pieces on top of each other and insert your crochet hook through both stitches, pull the yarn over and pull through.
Continue all the way around.
You can also sew the pieces together, if you prefer.
Mark the middle 2 chains on the belly piece on both sides.
Count half of those stitches up from the legs on the body pieces (i.e. if the belly piece is 24 sts, you should count 12 sts up on the body)
Do not count the 3 corner stitches.

Fold the belly piece over and place it between the body pieces.
Pull the marks on the belly pieces across the body pieces. Double check to make sure it is even before attaching.
And now you can begin.
